Our Story

Care Built on

Conviction,

Not Convention

Reliable Support Group was founded because one nurse saw a better way. A way where individuals are truly listened to, families feel genuinely supported, and care is built around people — not processes.

“Care should feel like it was made just for you — because it should be.”

— FOUNDER, RELIABLE SUPPORT GROUP

How It Began

A Career That Revealed a Gap in Care

Founded in 2024, Reliable Support Group was born from a deep dissatisfaction with how care was being delivered — and an unshakeable belief that it could be done differently.

“I kept asking myself: if this were my family member, would I be satisfied with this level of care? Too often, the honest answer was no.”

Reliable Support Group is proudly independent, owner-operated, and committed to remaining hands-on in every aspect of service delivery — ensuring that quality never becomes an afterthought as the organisation grows.

Why Reliable Support Group Exists

Over more than a decade working within the care sector, our founder — a Qualified Learning Disabilities Nurse — witnessed something troubling, and witnessed it repeatedly. Individuals receiving care were too often treated as cases to be managed rather than people to be supported. Paperwork was prioritised over relationships. Efficiency was chosen over empathy. And families were left feeling uncertain, confused, and under-served.

The care was being delivered — but it wasn’t always person-centred. It wasn’t always kind. And it wasn’t always delivered with the clinical rigour and genuine accountability that vulnerable individuals deserve.

That question became a calling. Rather than continuing to work within systems that she felt were not serving individuals well enough, she made the decision to build something different from the ground up. In 2024, Reliable Support Group was established — a nurse-led, owner-operated care provider grounded in the belief that every person receiving care deserves to feel valued, heard, and truly supported.

From the very first day, the approach has been simple: treat every individual the way you would want your own family to be treated. Not as a slogan — but as a daily operating standard that shapes every care plan, every conversation, and every decision made within the organisation.

Meet Our Founder

Led by a Nurse. Driven by Purpose.

Founder & Director — Reliable Support Group

Our founder’s career in care began over a decade ago, working across a range of settings supporting individuals with learning disabilities, complex health needs, and a variety of conditions that require specialist clinical understanding. What began as a vocation quickly deepened into something more — a genuine belief that the way care is delivered matters as much as the care itself.

Throughout her career, she observed that even within well-resourced organisations, the human element of care was frequently lost. Individuals were moved through systems. Families were given information rather than support. And carers — often compassionate people — were not always empowered to truly connect with those they supported.

She spent years working within these structures, advocating where she could, improving where possible, and growing in the conviction that a fundamentally different model was needed. One built not on volume, but on values. One where the founder remains genuinely involved — not hidden behind layers of management — and where clinical expertise is applied daily, not reserved for formal reviews.

Today, she leads Reliable Support Group with the same hands-on commitment that inspired her to found it. She is directly involved in care planning, staff guidance, client relationships, and the ongoing quality assurance that ensures every individual in the organisation’s care receives exactly the standard of support they deserve.

What We Stand For

Our Mission, Vision & Values

Everything Reliable Support Group does is guided by a clear set of principles — not aspirational statements, but operational standards that shape how we think, act, and care every single day.

Compassion

Genuine care requires genuine empathy. We approach every individual — and every family — with kindness, patience, and a sincere desire to make a positive difference in their lives.

Honesty

We communicate clearly and truthfully at all times. Families deserve straightforward answers, transparent pricing, and honest assessments — never vague reassurances or complex jargon.

Responsiveness

When families need support, they need it now — not tomorrow, and not after navigating a call centre. We are available 24 hours a day because care does not follow office hours.

Person-Centred Practice

Care is only meaningful when it reflects the individual receiving it. Every care plan is built around the person's own routines, preferences, cultural background, and personal aspirations.

Affordability

Quality care should be accessible. We provide competitive, transparent pricing without hidden fees — ensuring that excellent support is not a privilege limited to those with the deepest pockets.

Professionalism

Clinical knowledge, rigorous standards, and consistent quality underpin everything we do. Being caring does not mean being informal — we hold ourselves to the highest professional standards.

What We Stand For

“To provide dependable, person-centred care that individuals and families can genuinely rely on — not just during office hours, but at any moment they need us most.”

Our Difference

Why Families Choose Reliable Support Group

In a sector where many providers offer similar services, what genuinely sets us apart is not what we do — it is how we do it, and who remains accountable for it.

Nurse-Led From the Top

Every care plan is developed and overseen by a Qualified Learning Disabilities Nurse with over 10 years of Healthcare specialist experience. This is not a delegated role — it is the founding principle of the organisation. Clinical knowledge shapes every decision we make.

The Owner Answers the Phone

Uniquely, our founder remains directly involved in the day-to-day running of the organisation. When families contact us with a concern, they are speaking to someone with the authority, knowledge, and genuine commitment to act — immediately.

Genuinely 24/7 — Not Just a Claim

Many care providers advertise round-the-clock availability. We deliver it. Our 24/7 service means families can reach a real, knowledgeable person at any hour — whether that is 2pm on a Tuesday or 3am on a bank holiday weekend.

Care Plans That Are Truly Bespoke

We do not adapt templates. Every individual care plan begins with a genuine conversation, moves to a thorough clinical assessment, and is built entirely around the person — their preferences, their lifestyle, their health needs, and their personal goals.

Transparent Pricing. No Surprises

We explain exactly what care will cost, what it includes, and how it will be delivered — before any commitment is made. Families should never feel financially uncertain when arranging care for a loved one.

“The standard of care we provide is the standard we would expect for our own family.”

This is not a value reserved for certain clients — it is the foundation upon which every interaction within Reliable Support Group is built.

We believe that great care is not simply about meeting physical needs. It is about preserving a person’s sense of self, supporting their independence wherever possible, and ensuring that every day spent in our care feels genuinely worthwhile.

How We Work

Our Approach to Person-Centred Care

Person-centred care is not a buzzword for us — it is a structured, clinical, and deeply human approach that we apply consistently to every individual we support.

We Listen First - Always

Every relationship begins with a genuine conversation. We take the time to understand not just the care needs, but the whole person — their history, preferences, routines, relationships, and aspirations. No assumptions, no rushing, no one-size-fits-all thinking. Families are encouraged to share as much as they feel comfortable with, and everything discussed is treated with the utmost confidentiality and respect.

Clinical Assessment with Compassion

Our nurse-led assessment goes beyond checklists. It explores physical health needs, cognitive considerations, emotional wellbeing, social circumstances, and environmental factors — painting a comprehensive picture of the whole person. This assessment forms the clinical foundation of every care plan and is conducted with sensitivity, clarity, and professionalism throughout.

A Care Plan Built Around the Individual

From the assessment, we build a truly bespoke care plan — one that reflects the individual's personality as much as their medical needs. We outline exactly what support will be provided, how it will be delivered, who will be involved, and how progress will be measured. This plan is shared in full with the individual and their family, explained clearly, and only finalised once everyone is satisfied.

Matching the Right Carer

We take carer matching seriously. Beyond skills and qualifications, we consider personality, communication style, shared interests, and cultural sensitivity. We believe the relationship between carer and individual is one of the most important factors in successful, sustainable care — and we invest time in getting it right from the very beginning.

Ongoing Review & Open Communication

Care needs evolve. People change. Circumstances shift. That is why we build regular review into every care arrangement — not as a bureaucratic exercise, but as a genuine opportunity to ensure the support we are providing continues to serve the individual well. Families are always welcome to contact us between reviews, and we proactively reach out when we believe adjustments would be beneficial.

Our Commitment

What You Can Always Expect From Us

Our promise is not aspirational — it is operational. These are the standards we hold ourselves to with every individual, every family, and every interaction.

To Always Listen Before Acting

We will never assume we know what someone needs. Every care journey begins with genuine listening and continues with genuine attention.

To Treat Every Individual with Dignity

Regardless of need, background, or circumstance — every person in our care will be treated with the same respect and compassion we would expect for our own family.

To Be There When You Need Us

A real person with real knowledge will always be reachable. No automated systems. No voicemails. No waiting until Monday.

To Be Honest Even When It Is Difficult

We will always give you accurate, clear information — even when the honest answer is not the easiest one to hear. Families deserve truth, not reassurance.

To Never Stop Improving

We review, reflect, and refine continuously — because the individuals we support deserve nothing less than our best, every single day.
